Ilan is currently Head of UK Government Affairs at Citibank where he manages the bank’s response to public policy developments. Ilan has held different communications and public affairs roles for nearly 20 years, after a stint working for New Labour figures prior to the 1997 election. He has previously served as a trustee of several charities with a focus on poverty alleviation. He is a graduate of the GameChangers Leadership programme, an initiative of the UK's Jewish Leadership Council, designed to prepare the next generation of senior leaders of the UK Jewish Community. He acts as a patient advisor to various scientific research projects into the treatment of Crohn's Disease. Ilan lives in Finchley with his wife and two daughters.
