Position: Staff Elected Governor
Position: Assistant Headteacher
Sammy has been teaching for eight years and has aspired to be a primary school teacher from the age of five. She has taught across all three key stages, led the Early Years in her previous school and has had a lot of experience working with children and families who have a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Before studying Primary Education at university, she lived in Israel for a year teaching English to disadvantaged children and teenagers and volunteered for Magen David Adom. She spent many years teaching at Cheder and volunteering as a Madricha running spring, summer and winter camps and social events for youth movements and organisations.
Sammy thoroughly enjoys embarking on new learning experiences, particularly through her love of travelling and working with children from diverse cultures and backgrounds. She has previously spent a summer volunteering in an orphanage in Ghana and spent much time fundraising in order to rebuild their homes and schools. Sammy also spent a year teaching in Australia and travelling around New Zealand, exploring and embarking on adventures such as: bungee jumping, sky diving and scuba diving!
Sammy started working at Alma in 2016 and is also the Alma staff governor. She is incredibly excited about what the future holds for this brand new school!
