Benjy is an experienced teacher and education leader with a background mainly in SEND, and is currently the Deputy Head Teacher at a school in St. Albans for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties. He previously held the same role at a similar school in Derbyshire, and prior to that was a SENCO in a mainstream primary school in Hackney.

Benjy's family lived in Israel for two years during the pandemic, when he took a break from teaching during that time to work for a small software company that builds accessible apps for people who use eye tracking and other assistive technologies to communicate.
