Alma Primary held its very first ‘Challah Make’ this year for Shabbat UK. The school hall was filled to the brim with excited Alma Families. Parents, pupils and staff alike took part in the special event together which took place after school ended on Thursday. It was a fantastic way for the school to collaborate in the tradition of making challot and a special celebration of community spirit for the school. Staple ingredients were transformed into exquisite loaves of challot through mixing, kneeding, punching, plaiting and the sprinkling of a little community magic. The smiles on Alma families faces matched the breadth of the beautiful challot they made.
