Parashat Chukat Balak
Parashat Chukat Balak is actually a double portion. Chukat tells the story of Moshe hitting the rock to retrieve water following the death of his sister Miriam. Parashat Balak is named for the king of the Moabites who hires an evil magician to curse the children of Israel but instead blesses them.
