The United Kingdom

We learnt that the United Kingdom is made up of England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. We created symbols to represent those countries out of paint, cutting, collage, and sponge printing materials. For England, we tore and scrunched red and white tissue paper to make the flag; for Scotland, we made thistles out of paper plates and our own ‘spikey’ fingers which we cut out and stuck to the plates; for Northern Ireland, we cut out shamrocks and used sponges to print textured green paint; for Wales, we made daffodils with our yellow handprints.
