In Year 5 this week, we began a film study for a short animation called ‘The Piano’ by Aiden Gibbons in our English lesson; we took part in an activity called a ‘Conscience Alley’. This is when we had a child act as the main character and as they walk between two aisles of children; they say things that he might be thinking or feeling or ask him questions about a parts of the film. In Science, we explored our topic of Sound by going on a sound walk around the school and got the chance to play with a wide variety of instruments to see the different sounds they make. In Maths, we learned about Roman numerals and looked at the place value of two and three digit numbers using the correct Roman numerals.
