Rosh Hashanah
Year 4 celebrated Rosh Hashanah today. They took part in a variety of exciting activities. In particular, they enjoyed creating stain glass windows incorporating images from the stories from the Torah which are read at this special time.
The children also had to crack a code to release a shofar from a locked bag in an “escape room” activity. The first puzzle related to the “Al Heit” prayer which sets out the sins which we reflect upon at this time, the second was a crossword where the answers related to the traditions of Yom Kippur and the final challenge highlighted the four steps of “teshuvah” or repentance.
Of course, the children were also able to enjoy some apple dipped in honey!
