Ramadan

Our whole school activity day today is on Ramadan: see the presentation and activities for you to learn more about this special time for Muslims.

Ramadan is a holy month in Islam. It is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar.“Ramadan Mubarak” and “Ramadan Kareem” are common greetings during the holy month and mean “Have a Blessed or Generous Ramadan.”

During this month, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. When Muslims break the fast, they have a special meal called iftar, which is eaten with our families and loved ones.

Miss Guled has prepared a presentation on her experience of Ramadan which you can see and then have a go at some of the activities in our pack below. Ramadan Mubarak Alma!
