Year 4 have been investigating states of matter. Their most recent question was 'Do gases weigh anything?' They weighed a bottle of fizzy water (366g) and then opened it to let the carbon dioxide (gas) out. They watched the bubbles escaping and then put the lid back on and weighed it again. The water bottle weighed 363g! Year 4 discovered that, Yes! gases do have weight!
