The children in Year 3 were all given the opportunity to attempt to blow the shofar (ram's horn) during Alma's Rosh Hashanah learning morning (Jewish New year). Using this experience as inspiration, Year 3 created poems about the sounds and sensations they felt having blown the shofar and having heard its sound.

The children thought about their hopes for the World on its birthday, particularly in connection with the school's annual theme of  the environment and then created beautiful Rosh Hashanah cards which they gave to their families.
